SCIL is proud to announce the founding of a new club. Although we are not completely a part of SCIL, we share members and will most likely work closely together, given that we will hopefully get to use the room on weekends for our own club activities.
So what is Tinker Cell?
Bigger picture:
A club dedicated to tinkering with hardware and software in the bigger space of computers and periphery
Potential activities:
disassembling of old hardware, making modifications, soldering, creating new cases with 3d printing, creating new use cases, writing software for such cases, provide university members with hardware (upgrades) and solutions
Envisioned equipment etc
- Room to store parts and work on projects
- soldering station
- 3d printer to create new parts
Schedule:
Ideally no fixed schedule but ad hoc meetings in a club room to work on club- or individual projects. Probably regular meetings in our room on weekends

Are there any opportunities for non-members to participate in Tinker Cell activities?
Yes there are. Just drop-by room 281 of the environmental science building during the week
